The final Merseyside derby at Everton’s Goodison Park, which hosted the first edition of the fixture 130 years ago, was postponed on December 7.

Plenty has happened for both clubs since then, including the Toffees replacing manager Sean Dyche with David Moyes, who is now in his second spell at the club.

The 245th meeting between the teams has now been given a new date in what will be Moyes’ first derby since his return.

Here are the details on the rearranged Premier League fixture, including the date, time and TV channel and live stream details.

When is Everton vs Liverpool? Date, kick-off time

The game will take place on Wednesday, February 12, starting at 7.30pm GMT in the first match for both clubs after FA Cup fourth round weekend.

That may suit Everton more because Moyes’ side are at home to Bournemouth in their second FA Cup match of the season, while Liverpool will make a round trip of around 600 miles to face Championship club Plymouth Argyle.

Everton vs Liverpool TV channel, live stream

As was the case for the original date, the match will be shown live on TNT Sports in the UK.

Fans can stream the action on a huge range of devices via the Discovery+ app.

Why was Everton vs Liverpool called off?

With Storm Darragh hitting the UK, an amber weather warning issued until 6am GMT on December 8 and winds of up to 70 mph, authorities decided the safety risk was too great for the expected attendance of almost 40,000 fans.

“I think a lot of Evertonians are hoping that this derby is going to be a final under-the-lights evening at Goodison Park,” BBC Radio Merseyside’s Giulia Bould told Football Focus at the time. That wish has now been granted.

Everton vs Liverpool new date

The good news for Liverpool is that Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is likely to be available, having been suspended for the original date.

Arne Slot’s side were six points clear at the top of the table when the rearranged date was announced on January 13, as well as having a game in hand over the teams behind them because of the postponement.

Everton were a point clear of the relegation zone when the fixture was confirmed, with Moyes holding his first press conference since his return to the club on the same afternoon.
