The New York Giants will take on the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday afternoon and, as they’ve done for the past several weeks, will enter the game extremely shorthanded.
Head coach Brian Daboll informed reporters on Friday afternoon that several players who didn’t practice this week will be out in Week 16, including linebacker Bobby Okereke once again.
“Stinnie, Bobby, Patrick Johnson and probably Stro (won’t play),” he said. “We’ll see where he’s at.”
In better news, quarterback Tommy DeVito cleared concussion protocol, practiced on Friday, and will serve as the backup to Drew Lock on Sunday.
“He’s good,” Daboll said.
It’s also likely that linebacker Brian Burns will play against the Falcons, once again selflessly playing through an injury during a meaningless game.
“Burns will do stuff today. I think he’ll be fine. He had two days off, so hopefully he’s better today and he’s going in the right direction,” the coach said.
