Taylor Swift-hating husbands can’t deal with their wives’ devotion — and its leading to divorce

They were the “Anti-Hero” in their “Love Story.”

Some men married to Taylor Swift fans cannot deal with their wives’ unwavering love for the pop star — and it can lead to blow-up fights, tears — and ultimately divorce — as the scorned Swifties feel empowered by the pop star’s break-up anthems.

Kristin Collins, 41, said her ex-husband couldn’t cope with her devotion to Swift — and even blamed the songstress for the “Bad Blood” during their nine-year marriage.

“As I became more outspoken in our relationship about my feelings, her music was often blamed — like maybe I was listening to too much Taylor Swift and ruminating about our problems,” said Collins, a writer from Tucson, Ariz.

Collins said the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer also caused “blow-up arguments.”

“We probably used it as a projection of some sort or way of avoiding the topic of what we wanted to discuss,” she told The Post.

“His anger at me would become anger at Taylor Swift. And my fierce defensiveness of her was replacing my own defensiveness.”

It didn’t help that her ex is a musician — and felt the need to critique Swift’s craft every chance he got, Collins said.

“He would just say, ‘She’s not good.’ And I would say, ‘Well, Billy Joel thinks she’s good, and Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney have publicly validated her talent,’” she recalled.

Collins even turned to the tunes of the 34-year-old superstar for moral support as her “marriage was unraveling.”

“I listened to songs like ‘Tolerate It.’ When Taylor sang, ‘But what would you do if I break free and leave us in ruins/Took this dagger in me and removed it/Gain the weight of you then lose it/Believe me, I could do it.’

“I thought I could do it too — break free from what had become a truly unhealthy relationship,” she recalled.

So she did. In 2021, she filed for a divorce, and has since renewed her vows to Swift — seeing the girlfriend of Chiefs star Travis Kelce in concert multiple times.

“Since the divorce, I’ve traveled to Las Vegas, Portugal, and New Orleans with my girlfriends to see Taylor perform, something I never could have done while married,” she said.

The mom of two said her ex has come to tolerate Swift after witnessing their children’s love for her.

“I think that he is getting behind it now as a father in a way that maybe he couldn’t as a husband, so I will give him that,” she said.

That wasn’t the case for Sara K., whose ex-husband didn’t want their daughters listening to her music during their nine-year marriage.

“Every time I would play her music in the car, he would be like, ‘These lyrics are not appropriate for the kids,’ and he would switch the song,” she recalled.

“He was always very much like, ‘She’s not a good role model; she’s provocative. She gives girls messages that they shouldn’t be believing.’ And I would always be like, ‘I feel like she’s very empowering.’”

Sara, 32, a freelancer and wedding content creator from Buckeye, Ariz., said she used Swift’s songs to get through his “physical, verbal, emotional and spiritual” abuse.

“Nov. 29th last year was the last time he physically abused me and that is when I decided to leave him,” she said.

“And it’s really wild because later that day, Taylor released her song ‘You’re Losing Me’ and the lyrics were literally what happened to me that day. … When I heard that song, I was just like, ‘She wrote this for me!’”

The mom of two credited a lyric from Swift’s song “It’s Time to Go,” for helping her realize she shouldn’t stay with him for their children — “There’s a lyric in there that says, ‘Trying to stay for the kids, when keeping it how it is, will only break their hearts worse,’” she said.

“And I always thought that by staying, I was saving my kids from all this heartbreak and pain. But then I realized by leaving, I was actually giving them a sense of freedom because they didn’t have to live in this environment where they walked on eggshells all the time.”

Sara officially walked out on her husband in January. In June, her friends surprised her with a post-divorce trip to Swift’s Eras Tour concert in London.

“She played ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,’ and man, I shouted it at the top of my lungs. I had tears streaming down my face. It was painful, but it was so healing at the same time,” she said.

Now, Sara is in a relationship with a woman and she lets her listen to as much Tay Tay as she wants.

“I found someone wonderful and she was not a Swiftie, but she fully supports my obsession,” she said.

“We listen to her all the time. I break down the lyrics for her and we have dance parties. It’s amazing.”
