3 best prop bets for Week 13
The Dallas Cowboys (4-7) host the New York Giants (2-8) at AT&T Stadium on Thanksgiving Day in a matchup between longtime NFC East rivals who are playing out the string.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t money to be made by wagerers in this one. There are always angles to explore. Here are our three best suggestions for this turkey of a game (odds courtesy of BetMGM).
Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle over 67.5 rushing yards (-115)
The Giants have allowed an average of 185.5 yards on the ground over their past five games. Rico Dowdle is their top running back and quarterback Cooper Rush (knee) is questionable. Connect the dots here. Even though Dowdle hasn’t filled the box score the way the Cowboys had hoped this season, the number is low considering how bad the Giants’ D has been recently.
Giants OVER 20 or more points scored (full game) (+275)
The Giants have averaged just 12.3 points per game over their current six-game losing streak. They have scored over 20 points in a game just three times this season. They lost the first game against Dallas 20-15. Throw all of that out. Think like a contrarian here. The Giants should be able to move the ball in this one with a short passing game and solid rushing attack versus a suspect Cowboys run defense. They will also make an effort to get the football into the hands of Malik Nabers early and often on Thursday. They’re not going to make that mistake again. Oh, and did we mention that over their last six games, Dallas has allowed opponents an average of 33 points per.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. OVER 100 rushing/receiving yards (+195)
The Cowboys have allowed 369.9 yards per game this season (27th) and 150.1 on the ground (31st). Tyrone Tracy Jr., despite his recent ball security issues, is still the Giants’ best bet out of the backfield. Since his breakout game in Week 5, Tracy has eclipsed 100-plus yards from scrimmage four times. If the Giants stay committed to him, he should have another this week.
