Greg Monroe joins the Pelicans

Greg Monroe is set to join the New Orleans Pelicans coaching staff in a player development role, according to Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Selected as the seventh overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, Monroe enjoyed a successful professional career, averaging 13.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game over 646 regular-season appearances spanning ten seasons.

He played for a variety of teams, including the Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Washington Wizards, and Utah Jazz.
