Singer Benson Boone performs at Silver Lining Lounge

Chart topper Benson Boone performed an intimate show at Silver Lining Lounge at the Moxy Hotel on the Lower East Side this week before he’ll appear at MTV’s Video Music Awards.

Stars in the crowd included DJ Kygo, the Chainsmokers’ Alex Pall and Tucker Halpern of the popular duo Sofi Tukker.

Boone, who is in town for the VMAs on Wednesday night, gave around 200 fans an exclusive preview of his unreleased song, “Take Me Home,” and sang his hit, “Beautiful Things,” which has been atop the Billboard charts.

He also gave a sweet shoutout to a fan’s son!

“A woman shouted out in between songs for him to say ‘hi’ to her son, explaining he’s only 10 and so he wasn’t allowed in the bar,” a spy told us.

“You have a son that is 10 years old? Girl, you look great,” Boone responded, before looking in the camera and relaying the message, “Hey Aiden, sorry your mom is here and not you. But I love you.”

After the show, Boone stood outside meeting a long line of fans for 45 minutes.

A spy saw the crooner taking a long time to talk to one woman, and giving her long hugs as she hysterically cried with excitement.

When asked what he said, the young fan was in such shock from meeting her idol she told us, “I don’t know,” and continued to weep.

On Wednesday, Boone will perform at the UBS Arena for MTV, where he is also up for a famed “Moon Person” (formerly “Moonman”) award for Best New Artist.
