Caitlin Clark chose “smile” over “playoffs” for originality

Caitlin Clark shared her reaction to the Indiana Fever clinching a playoff spot and explained her decision to write “smile” on the Polaroid pictures shared by the team on social media.

When it was time for her photo, many of her teammates had already chosen to write “playoffs” on their pictures. Wanting to avoid repetition and do something more personal, Clark decided against using the same word.

Since she was the last to take her picture, she felt “smile” would bring a fresh and unique element to the moment, setting her contribution apart from the rest.
