DeMar DeRozan and Bulls never got close to contract extension
DeMar DeRozan recently signed with the Sacramento Kings after three seasons with the Chicago Bulls.
Despite his strong performances, the Bulls never came close to an agreement with DeRozan during free agency.
Jamal Collier of ESPN reported that the two sides never got close on a contract extension, despite having the entire season to negotiate.
During his time with the Bulls, DeRozan made two All-Star teams, was one of the best clutch performers in the NBA, and became a leader for the franchise both on and off the court.
