Prince William’s annual salary revealed after receiving title change

Despite the difficult start to the year that his family faced, it appears as though 2024 has been easy on Prince William’s finances.

The Prince of Wales, 42, received an eye-popping salary of $30 million from his Duchy of Cornwall estate during the 2023-2024 financial year.

The Duchy of Cornwall — the estate William, 42, inherited from his father, King Charles III, when he ascended the throne in Sept. 2022 — published its Integrated Annual Report on Wednesday, revealing a whopping $30.4 million surplus for the 2023-2024 financial year.

In addition to the plush estate, the father of three was given the Duke of Cornwall title.

The report also shows that William — who has been a keen soccer fan for years — was given the title of Patron of the Football Association (FA), previously held by his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The FA oversees England’s men’s and women’s professional, youth and disabled soccer teams.

William has been very active in supporting soccer in the UK.

He’s met with Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to tour their club Wrexham FC and traveled to Berlin, Germany with his son Prince George to watch England take on Spain in the Euro 2024 final.

Elsewhere in the report, William has been given authority over the Welsh Guards Charity and the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association and was named president of the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association.

The Victoria Cross and George Cross Association gives the highest military honor to civilians and military personnel.

However, to accept the honor, William was forced to give up his title of president of Fields in Trust — an organization that protects parks and green spaces across the UK.

As the heir to the throne, William, his wife Kate Middleton and their three children benefit from the tax-exempt Duchy of Cornwall — a private estate that funds his public, charitable and private activities.

The estate is valued at more than $1 billion and was established in 1337 by King Edward III to provide funds for the heir to the throne for generations to come.

It covers roughly 205 square miles of land across the UK, which includes over 20 counties, and is comprised of “arable and livestock farms, residential and commercial properties, as well as forests, rivers, quarries, and coastline,” the 2023 report notes.

Last year, the estate garnered about $29 million, though William only saw a portion of that because he inherited the title and estate halfway through the year.

But the prince who boasts a hefty payday on the horizon is Prince Harry.

The Duke of Sussex will turn 40 on Sept. 15, and an eye-popping cash gift awaits him as he enters his 40s.

The father of two is reportedly set to receive a whopping $8.5 million from his share of the $90 million trust fund his late great-grandmother, The Queen Mother, put in place before her death in 2002.

The hefty sum is reportedly more than William is slated to receive.
