Thon Maker reacts to being unable to play for South Sudan at 2024 Paris Olympics

Thon Maker, a former NBA forward, expressed his disappointment at being unable to represent South Sudan at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Maker had hoped to play for his native country but could not secure a necessary letter of clearance from Basketball Australia in time.

Having previously represented Australia in FIBA tournaments, Maker required the clearance to switch national teams.

Despite this setback, Maker is determined to play for South Sudan in future competitions.
