6 keys to victory in Week 14

The Giants’ offensive line is banged up. It’s the reason that Lock led the team in rush yards last week because he was so often forced to run as his pocket collapsed around him. The problem is that’s not a good winning strategy. Lock isn’t a running quarterback, even though he can take off when needed.

The Giants have to get the skill players involved early and effectively. Even if it means Tryone Tracy Jr. is taking a direct snap, or Lock has to scramble so he has time to throw down the field, the offense has to find a way to be productive. It starts with the offensive line, but given their recent play, the skill players need to find a way to make an impact another way.

Adjust run routes, keep their eyes on Lock to know when he’s in trouble, and find a way to give him an outlet before he’s forced to run, throw it away, or take a sack.
