The Giants are tied for second in the NFL in sacks (4.7 per game) through three weeks. Last week, they were all over Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson, hitting him a total of 17 times and sacking him eight.

The eight sacks were the Giants’ highest total since they had eight sacks in a 36-7 victory at Tennessee on December 7, 2014.

The Giants became the fourth team to have nine different players record at least half a sack in the same game since 1982 (when the sack became an official NFL statistic). The Buffalo Bills (October 30, 2011), Dallas Cowboys (September 29, 1985), and Kansas City Chiefs (December 8, 1985) were the other three teams to do it.

The Giants eight sacks were credited to Dexter Lawrence (2.0); Brian Burns, Azeez Ojulari, Elijah Chatman and Jason Pinnock (1.0 each), and Bobby Okereke, Micah McFadden, Rakeem Nunez-Roches and Kayvon Thibodeaux (0.5 each).
