Veteran free agent receiver Mohamed Sanu deserves to have another opportunity, and the Kansas City Chiefs must make it happen.

Great teams win no matter what, and great quarterbacks are many times the reason. Patrick Mahomes has proven that, beyond the shadow of a doubt, he and the Kansas City Chiefs will continue to win no matter who he’s throwing the football to.

No one thought Mahomes would be this good even without Tyreek Hill. We knew he was special, but Mahomes has arguably looked better than ever before in 2022.

With the Chiefs thinking Super Bowl, like every year since Mahomes came to K.C., the team has been rumored to be exploring adding another wide receiver to the fold prior to the postseason.

Recently-released Sammy Watkins might not make the most sense, nor would the questionable health of Odell Beckham Jr. However, veteran free agent Mohamed Sanu is waiting for a call — and the Chiefs need to make that phone call. Recently, he spoke with Fansided about his desire to play in Kansas City.

Why the Kansas City Chiefs need to sign Mohamed Sanu: He’s healthy and ready

Earlier in 2022, Sanu signed with the Miami Dolphins and went through training camp with Mike McDan

”I had a killer camp (in Miami). I killed it … I feel great. I feel amazing. I’m better than I’ve ever been … [I need to] get in front of the right set of eyes,” Sanu told FanSided.

”I can still play at a high level,” he acknowledged.

All of the talk for a few weeks was about that bright and shiny object, Odell Beckham Jr. But, health is a major concern. With Sanu, the Chiefs are getting a guy who is healthy, strong and physically ready to go.
